Dernière mise à jour : May 2, 2026
Purpose
These terms and conditions of use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the africalastmile.com website (the "Site"), as well as registration for the Africa Last Mile Summit 2026 (the "Summit"), to be held from October 21 to 23, 2026 in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. They form the contract between the user ("you") and EVIAL Group ("we").
Use of the Site and registration for the Summit imply full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use the Site.
Access to the site
The Site is accessible free of charge to any user with internet access. Connection and equipment costs are your responsibility.
We reserve the right to interrupt or limit access to the Site for maintenance, updates or force majeure, without incurring any liability.
Creating an attendee account
Certain features — Summit registration, scientific abstract submission, Hackathon application, attendee area access — require account creation. You agree to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information.
You are solely responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for all actions performed from your account. In the event of unauthorised use, please notify us without delay at secretariat@africalastmile.com.
Registration and payment
Summit registration is completed on the Site according to the prevailing fee schedule (Students, Nationals, Africa, Diaspora, Outside Africa) and the period (Early bird, Mid bird, Standard, Late bird). The applicable rate is the one displayed at the time of payment.
International payments (credit card) are processed by PayPal. Regional payments (Orange Money / MTN MoMo / Wave / Moov mobile money, UEMOA cards) are processed by Paystack. No banking data is stored on our servers.
Confirmation of registration is sent by email upon receipt of payment. The personalised badge and access details are sent at the latest ten days before the opening of the Summit.
Cancellation and refund: any cancellation request received more than 30 days before the opening is entitled to a full refund, less processing fees (5% of the amount). Between 30 and 7 days before the opening, the refund is 50%. Within 7 days, no cancellation is refundable, but the badge may be transferred to another named individual.
Expected conduct at the Summit
Participation in the Summit implies respect for other attendees, speakers and organising staff. Any inappropriate behaviour, harassment, discriminatory remarks, or breach of another person's physical or moral integrity will result in immediate exclusion without refund.
Audio, video or photographic recording of closed-door sessions (Policy Roundtable, Investor Corner, Gala Dinner) is strictly prohibited. For public sessions, please obtain speakers' permission before sharing on social media.
Intellectual property of user content
When you submit a scientific abstract, a Hackathon project, a pitch or any other content via the Site, you remain the owner of your rights. However, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free and worldwide licence, for the duration of legal protection, to reproduce and disseminate this content as part of the Summit, associated publications (including the Africa Last Mile Index 2026) and ALMS communications, with proper attribution to you as the author.
Limitation of liability
We do everything possible to provide reliable information and quality service. However, we cannot be held liable for indirect damages arising from use of the Site or participation in the Summit, nor for events of force majeure (natural disaster, health measure, administrative decision, etc.) that may modify the programme or postpone the Summit.
In the event of postponement or cancellation of the Summit by EVIAL Group, registrations will either be transferred to the following edition or fully refunded.
Links to third-party sites
The Site may contain links to third-party sites (sponsors, institutional partners, hosting providers, payment platforms). These sites have their own terms of use and privacy policies, over which we exercise no control.
Modification of the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The applicable version is the one in force at the time of your use of the Site. Substantial changes will be notified to you by email if you have an account.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Ivorian law. Failing amicable settlement, any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Abidjan, without prejudice to the mandatory rules applicable to consumers residing in the European Union.
