Airport

Félix-Houphouët-Boigny Airport (ABJ)

Located in Port-Bouët, 16 km southeast of Le Plateau. Allow 25 to 40 minutes by taxi to reach CCI-CI depending on traffic. The airport is served by major international and regional airlines.

Air Côte d'Ivoire

National carrier · serves all of West Africa and the Paris CDG hub.

Brussels Airlines

5 flights per week via Brussels · ideal for Northern Europe.

Royal Air Maroc

Ride-hailing — recommended

Book in three taps.

Ride-hailing apps are the simplest option for international travellers: fixed fare upfront, card / Mobile Money payment, geolocation, driver choice. Download one of these apps before you arrive.

Yango

The most widely used ride-hailing app in Abidjan in 2026. Predictable fares, payment by Mobile Money / card / cash. Fare ABJ → Plateau ≈ XOF 6,000 — 10,000.

Strongly established French alternative. Fares comparable to Yango, international card payment accepted. Coverage Abidjan + Cocody + Marcory.

Standard taxis

Meter or negotiation.

Metered taxis (orange)

Official taxis with meters, present at the airport and in Le Plateau. Fare ABJ → Plateau ≈ XOF 8,000 — 12,000. Ask for "the meter" or negotiate the fare BEFORE getting in.

Communal taxis (colours by district)

Wôrôwôrô (yellow/red shared taxis) — not recommended for international travellers: fares negotiated on the spot, shared routes.

Tip for international travellers — favour ride-hailing apps (Yango, Heetch). Official metered taxis are reliable if you insist on the meter being switched on. Avoid wôrôwôrô (shared taxis) if you do not speak the local language and are not used to shared transport.

Public transport

For the local explorers.

SOTRA — Urban buses

Public bus network, main lines connecting Plateau, Cocody, Yopougon, Adjamé. Rechargeable "Yamo" card available at stations. Single fare XOF 200. Heavy congestion at peak hours.

SOTRA water buses

Maritime link Plateau ↔ Treichville ↔ Yopougon across the Ébrié lagoon. Comfortable, fast, panoramic views. "Plateau" stop 5 minutes from CCI-CI. Fare XOF 300.

BRT and Metro (under construction)

The Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and the Abidjan Metro line 1 (Anyama → Port-Bouët) are under construction in 2026. The metro will not be in service for the summit, but SOTRA express buses cover the main routes.

ECOWAS nationals

Visa exemption. A valid ID card or passport is sufficient. 90-day stay with no additional formalities.

Other countries · e-Visa

Online e-Visa on snedai.com · 48–72 business hours processing · short stay ≈ €75 · 3-month validity. You collect your physical visa upon arrival at ABJ airport with your printed confirmation.

Letter of invitation

Our team can provide an official letter of invitation on EVIAL Group letterhead, signed by management, mentioning your participation in ALMS 2026 — useful to support a visa application. Reserved for registered and paid attendees.

Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory to enter Ivorian territory (international vaccination booklet to be presented at the airport). Vaccine valid for life since 2016.

Accommodation

Stay near the summit.
